The Most Qualified Candidate To Solve
The "Economic Meltdown" Crisis!

Home Page

Another great video post that needs to be shared. If you feel inclined to forward this to let people know that Ron Paul is still in the race, please do. It is a new YouTube Video, March 7, 2008. Go here: Ron Paul - Republicans Don't Elect Most Qualified Candidate! (10 minutes, fantastic RP clip compilation)

At about 1 minute in there’s a debate clip from the October 9th, 2007 Republican debate (yes, five months ago) RP starts saying, “we’re in a recession .... for a lot of people. Michigan knows about it. Poor people know about it, the middle class knows about it. Wall street doesn’t know about it, Washington D.C. doesn’t know about it … ” and he goes on to talk about inflation and overspending as the cause.

That part of the video is extra fantastic because it’s got economic tickers on the top. Look at the info in the video from five months ago (Oct 9th, 2007) compared to now (March 7th, 2008).

Oil was $80/barrel, now it’s $105 (up 31%)

Gasoline futures were $2.02/gal, now they are $2.69 (up 33%)

Gold was $743/oz, now it’s $972/oz (up 31%)

Silver was $13.60/oz, now it’s $20.14/oz (up 48%)

The Dow had a record high close of 14,165, now it’s 11,894 (down 16%)

S&P 500 had a record high close of 1565, now it’s 1293 (down 17%)

NASDAQ was 2804, now it’s 2212 (down 21%, which is a technical bearmarket for NASDAQ)

$1 was worth 117.2 Yen, now it’s 102.7 Yen (down 12%)

$1 was worth 0.71 Euros (displayed as $1.41 dollars per Euro), now a buck is 0.65 Euros (down 8.5%)

The dollar stayed around 0.5 British Pounds, but that just means the pound is sinking, too.

The man is an economic prophet, yet he’s ignored. And he doesn’t use mystic powers to make these predictions. As he says in the video, “it’s a natural predictable consequence that some people will benefit (military-industrial-congressional complex insiders) and some will suffer (the rest of us chumps trying to save our dollars for old age).” He just knows history and Austrian Economics, which makes him seem like he has powers to predict the future compared to the short-sighted political hacks we usually see running.
